    February 25th - Angie PalmerDescribed by Bob Harris as “One of Britain’s greatest singer-songwriters, this multi-album artist makes a very welcome return to Roots. Admission £8


March 25th – MegsonThis absolutely stunning duo goes from strength to strength, and the supreme talents of Stu and Debbie make this an evening you really should not miss. We are delighted to welcome them back for their third visit to Roots. Admission £8


April 22nd - Brooks Williams - Bluesy guitarist Brooks Williams is a certified road-warrior, wowing audiences for twenty-one years in both North America, Ireland, the UK and Turkey with his powerful acoustic and resonator slide guitars. The Statesboro, Georgia native and Massachusetts resident is celebrating the release of his 16th CD, and we are proud to present him for his Roots debut. Admission £8


May 27th - Clive GregsonA much awaited return for Clive, born in Manchester but who located to the USA in 1993His songs have been recorded by many artists, including Nanci Griffith, Kim Carnes, Fairport Convention, Claire Martin, Norma Waterson and Smokie. Nanci's version of "I Love This Town" was released as a single in 2006 and became a radio hit in both America and the UK. Admission £9


June 24th – Diesel Therapy - Individually, Jim, Danny, Chris and Duncan are all heavily in demand as touring and session musicians. They don't get to play as Diesel Therapy as often as they would like. But when they do, you're in for a treat! Their live set features everything from Bluegrass instrumentals to songs about growing up in the North East of England. Admission £8


July 22nd - Paul LiddellA singer-songwriter from Sunderland who absolutely wowed the Roots audience in 2009 in a support slot. Jaw-dropping guitar playing and great songs. Admission £7.


August 19th – Gren Bartley & Tom KitchingGren’s stunning guitar playing is earning him accolades as the new Richard Thompson, and Tom is one of England’s finest fiddlers. An exciting and brilliant combination. Admission £8


September 16th – Billy Mitchell & Bob FoxAn amazing collaboration that needs no introduction, but Roots is honoured indeed to present Billy and Bob in their must-see show prior to their gig at The Sage. (This will be TICKET ONLY at £12 – details to be announced nearer the time)


September 30th - Rachel Harrington (with Rod Clements)Another artist from the USA, this supremely talented lady led one reviewer to say  "... as good an example of traditional Americana as you’ll find anywhere ... a great storyteller ...It’s been a good year for Americana already, and Harrington has just made it a lot better." Admission £9


October 28th – PreludeA return to Roots for Prelude who sold out two years ago with their fantastic voices, playing and sheer enthusiasm for performing. Another great night is in store! Admission £8


November 25th - Southern Tenant Folk UnionAn amazing way to end the season with this bluegrass band who Maverick described as "The smoothest, bluegrass tinged, measured acoustic country singing and playing you could wish for this side of the Atlantic." Admission £10
